Plastic Bag Legislation in Beach Haven, NJ

The Jersey Shore Chapter wants to pass bag legislation in the town of Beach Haven, NJ.

The Mayor and Council of Beach Haven, NJ has been exploring bag legislation since the middle of 2017 in an effort to get the right ordinance for Beach Haven. A neighboring town, Long Beach Township, passed a plastic bag ban since then and the Township borders Beach Haven on both sides. John Weber from Surfrider staff and others like Kyle Gronostajski of Alliance for a Living Ocean have spoken at Council Meetings, and there was a screening of A Plastic Ocean that the chapter participated in.
