February Chapter Meeting postponed until Feb. 16th

Due to inclement weather conditions, the Jersey Shore monthly Chapter meeting will be postponed. Instead of meeting tonight, we will meet next Thursday, February 16th from 6:30-8:00 PM at Beach Haus Brewery in Belmar, NJ. Same time and place.

We hope to see everyone at that meeting and that you all stay safe on the roads today!

Beach Access Bill Advances

A bill in the NJ Senate would finally codify certain aspects of public access to NJ’s waterways. The last two Governor’s have created rules for this type of access that have been thrown out in court. We have said all along that the Legislature, the lawmakers could take on this issue and settle it. This is a good first step.

Northern Ocean County Beachfill Announced

Whelp, we’ve known this will be coming since Hurricane Sandy. The contract has been awarded for beachfill from Point Pleasant down to the edge of Island Beach State Park despite many property owners not signing easements for construction. Full article below.
