NJ Senate Hearing on Bill Protecting Beach Access

On Monday, Feb. 5, in Trenton, NJ, the New Jersey Senate Environment Committee will consider S.1074, a bill proposed by Sen. Bob Smith and Senator Kip Bateman, which is intended to protect public access to tidal waterfronts for bathing, swimming, fishing, and other shore-related activities.  Come show support for public access to our ocean, coast and tidal water shorelines and  help defend public waterfront access and the public trust!

North Beach Winter Sweep

Saturday February 24 at 1 PM- 5PM
1701 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park

This winter, the Surfrider Foundation: Jersey Shore Chapter and thePhilly Surf Crew are co-hosting a Beach Sweep followed by Happy Hour at Porta Asbury Park.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to clean the beach with us! Bring gloves and wear hard-soled shoes. Dress weather-appropriate!! Always stay off dunes and respect wildlife! Beach Sweep begins at 1pm followed by Happy Hour: 3pm-5pm at Porta Asbury Park 911 Kingsley Street ($2 Drafts, $4 House Wine, $6 Select Cocktails)
