Phase 1 of the Planting of an Ocean Friendly "Garten" in front of Asbury Festhalle was a success Saturday thanks to a great turn out of hardworking volunteers!
We turned the heavily compacted soil allowing for much more effective rainwater absorption. And put 70 native and coastal tolerant plants in the ground. Thanks to Jason at rareFind Nursery for bring and donating half of the plants and for everyone's hard work.
Stay tuned for the second phase of plantings, (likely December 6th) and for a larger Rain Garden to go in by Wesley Lake in the spring 2015!
