Join the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation and Clean Ocean Action for a day of action for the shore. Surfrider will be leading a cleanup in Ortley Beach at 8 am as well as helping out with a Shark River cleanup. We also have our monthly Chapter meeting at Surf Taco in Belmar starting at 9 am.
Cleanup details are below:
Ortley Beach Cleanup
Date: Saturday, December 8th, 2012
When: 8 am to 3 pm
Where: Bellcrest Plaza, 931-953 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, NJ 08753
Bring: Food and water for the day. Wear boots and work clothes. If you can bring sledge hammers, pry bars, shovels, brooms, and hammers please do.
Safety Note: Volunteer must be outfitted with respirators (N95) and heavy duty rubber gloves. Please bring these with you.

Shark River Cleanup

Where: 149 South Riverside Drive Neptune NJ 07753 (former location of the Shark River Municipal Marina)
Bring: Heavy gloves, boots, rakes, garbage bags, shovels
