Northern Ocean County Beachfill Announced

Whelp, we’ve known this will be coming since Hurricane Sandy. The contract has been awarded for beachfill from Point Pleasant down to the edge of Island Beach State Park despite many property owners not signing easements for construction. Full article below.

Doubling Money For Beach Replenishment – Heck No!

Shored Up Film in Rumson 9/20/14 at 7PM

 

The documentary about beach replenishment, Shored Up, will be in Rumson on Saturday Night, Sept 20th, at 7PM at the Holy Cross School, 40 Rumson Road.  There will be a panel discussion afterwards with the film maker and coastal experts featured in the film.

New DEP Proposal – Take Action to Stop It

You may have heard about the new NJ DEP proposal regarding coastal building rules. They would allow more building along the coast, in wetland areas, along bays, harbors and rivers. These rules are too weak to begin with and this would make them weaker.  Write your legislators to stop this nonsense.
