Unfortunately the chapter was informed of the passing of an ocean and beach lover Christine, “Tina” Evans.  As such, her family decided that donations to the Jersey Shore Chapter would be a fitting way to remember Christine.

Belford – Christine “Tina” Evans, 54, of Belford, NJ, passed suddenly on February 22, 2021 in Red Bank, NJ. She was born in Fort Jackson, SC and lived in Belford, NJ with her family. Christine was a graduate of JFK Muhlenberg Harold B. & Dorothy A. Snyder School of Nursing, and worked as an intensive care nurse at JFK Medical Center for over 30 years. Christine dedicated the majority of her life to helping others, and through her dedicated work she was able to help countless patients get through their own struggles.

Among Tina’s many loves were her family, friends and her travels to the beach. Tina found much happiness and peace on the beach. She could often be found on the shores of Long Beach Island with her family or traveling to the Caribbean with her sister and friends.

Surviving are her three sons, John Evans, Jr., Scott Evans, and Sean Evans (fiancée Aubrey Abbes); sister, Tricia Bjornsund (husband William); brothers, Joseph Rothermund Jr. (wife Debbie) and Matthew Rothermund (wife Jody); parents, Joseph and Rosemary Rothermund; nieces and nephews, Kayci, Ty, Jack, Dean, Emma, Amy (husband Kevin) and Maren; sister-in-law Carol Horn (husband Robert) and sister-in-law Barbara (husband Robert) and their children.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, John Evans, Sr.
