We have talked about the safety of replenished beaches for a long time. Here is a good hard look from Delaware by Lynn R. Parks in Delaware Beach Life magazine.
There is mounting evidence that this is a concern. We should add that it does not happen on every replenished beach, and natural beaches can become steep like this naturally and temporarily under certain conditions. Still we need to do what we can to keep beaches safe!
