Join the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to learn how to build and install your very own rain barrel.  The Rutgers Cooperative Extension is hosting one of their popular Build A Rain Barrel Workshops at the Extension Center in Toms River.

Rain barrels catch rain water that would normally flow into our storm drains and to the ocean laden with pollution. Rain barrels not only prevent this runoff pollution but also provide you with a source of fresh water for your garden and lawn.

During the workshop you will build your own rain barrel and take it home that night. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Jersey Shore Chapter as well as become a member of the Surfrider Foundation.
