Island Beach State Park – Seaside Park, NJ

Join us for  chapter planning and event updates—plus a special guided tour of the park by a naturalist and seining demonstration!

Summer is just around the corner and we've got some great events coming up that we'd love to have your input and help executing, which includes International Surfing Day on Saturday, June 20th. New members are always welcome because there's plenty you can do to help out. We want to visit our friends and members in Southern Ocean County, which is why this chapter meeting will be held at Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park, NJ.

We'll hold our meeting at 10 AM on Saturday, May 2nd at the main area of the park. The meeting will be followed by a guided tour of the trails and habitats for birds by one of the Naturalists at the park, which will also include a seining demonstration. Seining is the act of fishing or gathering fish with a vertical net, generally in shallow waters.

With so much exciting stuff coming up for Summer 2015,  it's time to get involved with the Jersey Shore Surfrider Chapter for some exciting updates, event planning, and a fascinating tour of Island Beach State Park!
