Build a Rain Barrel Workshop in Bradley Beach

Build a Rain Barrel WorkshopJune 7, 2012
Carmen A. Biase Center
719 Main St.
Bradley Beach, NJ
7:30-9:00 PM
Join the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation and the Bradley Beach Environmental Commission to learn how to build and install your very own rain barrel.  The Rutgers Water Resources Program has been invited to host one of their popular Build A Rain Barrel Workshops in Bradley Beach.

Rain barrels catch rain water that would normally flow into our storm drains and to the ocean laden with pollution. Rain barrels not only prevent this runoff pollution but also provide you with a source of fresh water for your garden and lawn. During the workshop you will build your own rain barrel and take it home that night. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Jersey Shore Chapter as well as become a member of the Surfrider Foundation.

You must register to attend. For details and registation click here. Workshop cost is $45.00.

Come on out and take advantage of our limited time membership offer! All those building a rain barrel can sign up that night for a Surfrider membership at the super discounted rate of $15. Become a member and learn what you can do to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches.
